hello guys..its me again
mohamad khairy izwan bin mohamad zamani (A123138)

fuhh..its been a long time since i posted my last post. well it can't be helped due to lot of other commitment. hm..before this i've talked about the definition of illegal street racing where i talked about what does it mean by illegal street racing. okay then, now i'm going to talk about why ilegal street racing occured in Malaysia. as we all already know illegal street racing is an act that is prohibited by the law, but why it is still occurred?well then, in my opinion there are two main factor that contribute to this problem and they are domestic and foreign factor where the latter can be classified as the main contributor. why did i say that?the main factor is because of the era of globalization or also known as world without border. negative influences from the foreign countries especially the west that was brought here through mass media could not be entirely blocked. one of the example that i can give regarding western influence through mass media is a wide promotion made by the media on several movies concerning illegal street racing such as 'fast and furious', 'Tokyo drift' and so on. these movies give some sort of motivation to our people nowadays where some of our people will began to think that if they can do it i also can do it. these movies also inspires our own movie producer to produce this type of movie to gain a profit, and as a result several local movies regarding illegal street racing had been produced such as 'impak maksima' and 'evolusi Kl dift' and not to miss 'remp-it'. well then, i think it is not a complete and fair judgment if i only talk and put the blame on mass media and western influence. this is because domestic factors also have their own contribution on this matter. one of the factor is a lack of awareness among family members that one of them is involve in the illegal racing due to lack of time spend among the. as for example the parents that always busy with their work and spend only a limited amount of time with their children did not even realize that their children involve in the illegal act. other than that peer pressure also play a major role in this matter. this is because other than own family, peer is a closest companion and if they involve in this illegal act, there's a big chance that those whom at first did not involved with this illegal racing will be dragged into it. well then i think that's all that i can write right now...till we meet again..adios
